The Good News of Jesus ~ Mark 1:1-20
- The gospel of Jesus Christ (1:1)
- Jesus baptizes us with the Holy Spirit, therefore you are to live daily in the power of the Spirit (1:2-8)
- Jesus is God’s beloved son, therefore rest in him for your “well-pleased” identity (1:9-11)
- Jesus is victorious over temptation, therefore trust in him for help against temptation (1:12-13, cf. Matthew 4)
- Jesus fulfills God’s plan and proclaims the gospel, therefore repent and believe (1:14-15)
- Jesus calls us to a greater life, therefore follow wherever he leads (1:16-20)
