Praying the Bible ~ Hebrews 3:12-13

Praying through verses or passages of the Bible is a great way to help you pray according to the will and desires of God. Below is a passage of Scripture and a sample prayer. I would encourage you to pray that prayer, or, even better, read the passage and pray as God leads you.

Text: Hebrews 3:12-13
Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. (English Standard Version)

Prayer
Father, sin so easily tricks us. Deceived, we don’t see you for your goodness. We don’t see you for your love. Father, we need daily help to not be deceived by sin. Help us to be faithful by your word and Spirit and other followers of Jesus in our lives. May you grow us in encouragement. May you open our eyes to ways we can serve others in helping them avoid sin and walk daily in your grace. Amen.
