Praying the Bible ~ 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17

Praying through verses or passages of the Bible is a great way to help you pray according to the will and desires of God. Below is a passage of Scripture and a sample prayer. I would encourage you to pray that prayer, or, even better, read the passage and pray as God leads you.

Text: 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17
May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us eternal encouragement and good hope by grace, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good work and word. (Christian Standard Bible)

Prayer
Father, we praise you for you love. You know everything about us, better than we know. You know our every fault and failure. You know how often we choose against you instead of choosing you. Yet, you chose to still love us and to call us your own through Jesus. This is our encouragement forever, this is your grace and our hope. Father, help us to remember your great love. Use this memory to strengthen our hearts each day. That we might abound in good works, meeting needs, and telling about Jesus. Amen.
