Praying the Bible ~ Mark 8:16-18

Praying through verses or passages of the Bible is a great way to help you pray according to the will and desires of God. Below is a passage of Scripture and a sample prayer. I would encourage you to pray that prayer, or, even better, read the passage and pray as God leads you.

Text: Mark 8:16-18
They were discussing among themselves that they did not have any bread. Aware of this, Jesus said to them, “Why are you discussing the fact you have no bread? Don’t you understand or comprehend? Do you have hardened hearts? Do you have eyes and not see; do you have ears and not hear?” (Christian Standard Bible)

Prayer
Father, help us to understand and help us to know. Missing the point is an easy thing to do. We get distracted by the moment or we look for a physical answer when we should be searching for a spiritual. Give us eyes to see and hears to hear. Help our hearts be soft to your word and to what you are doing in the world. Give us sight to see the glory of Jesus and the move of the Holy Spirit above all else. Amen.
