Sermon Notes
Stay Focused ~ 1 Timothy 6:6-10

The sermon in one sentence: Stay focused by remembering that wealth is temporary but godliness brings eternal gain.

  • Godliness provides the best gain, so pursue godliness with more passion than you pursue wealth (6:6, 9-10)
  • There is only a small amount that you need for life, so enjoy what you have and be content with the basics (6:6, 8)
  • Wealth is only temporary, so be wise with your wealth and don’t waste it by hoarding it (6:7)

Note: Everyone in attendance will receive a free copy of the book The Money Challenge: 30 Days of Discovering God’s Design for You and Your Money by Art Rainer (one per household)

Sermon Notes
A Faith that Conquers Fear ~ 2 Timothy 4:6-18

We grow afraid when what is before us is too unknown or overwhelming. We need to look beyond the immediate circumstances or an unknown future and trust the God who is in control. A faith that conquers fear:

  • Fights daily to stay focused on Jesus (4:6-8)
  • Celebrates God’s work in others while entrusting him with our enemies (4:9-15)
  • Trusts God to defend, strengthen, and rescue–even in the bleakest circumstances (4:16-18)

Sunday 04.26.15 (Christ and the generations, men’s prayer breakfast, last Awana, and more)

This Sunday morning, we’ll take a look at Deuteronomy 6 and “Christ and the Generations.” We’ll see how one generation of the church is to invest itself in the next generation to show them love and faithfulness to Jesus.

Also, Sunday evening will be our last Awana¬†for the 2014-15 school year. We’ll celebrate with grilled hotdogs for dinner at 5pm and the year end club at 530pm.

Hope to see you there!
