Praying the Bible ~ Acts 17:11

Praying through verses or passages of the Bible is a great way to help you pray according to the will and desires of God. Below is a passage of Scripture and a sample prayer. I would encourage you to pray that prayer, or, even better, read the passage and pray as God leads you.

Text: Acts 17:11
The people here were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, since they received the word with eagerness and examined the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so. (Christian Standard Bible)

Prayer
Father, may we be of noble character. May we long to hear from your word. Give us eagerness and give us joy when we think of your word. Grant us, by your Spirit, hearts that long to grow. Give us a longing to examine the Scriptures each day, to ponder, and to test what we have heard. Refine us with your word. Amen.
