Praying through verses or passages of the Bible is a great way to help you pray according to the will and desires of God. Below is a passage of Scripture and a sample prayer. I would encourage you to pray that prayer, or, even better, read the passage and pray as God leads you.
Text: Luke 11:1
“Lord, teach us to pray, just as John also taught his disciples.” (Christian Standard Bible)
Prayer
Father, prayer is a conversation. You call us to draw near to you and pour out our hearts. Yet, so often we struggle. We wonder if you care about are seemingly insignificant matters, compared to the universe. We question if you hear us. Yet, you call us again to intimacy; to be near to you, as a child crawling into the lap of her loving father. Teach us, Lord, to pray. Teach us, that we might draw near to you. Teach us that you care deeply about everything on our hearts. Teach us that you love us more than we can imagine. Lord, teach us to pray. Amen.
