Praying the Bible ~ Luke 6:27

Praying through verses or passages of the Bible is a great way to help you pray according to the will and desires of God. Below is a passage of Scripture and a sample prayer. I would encourage you to pray that prayer, or, even better, read the passage and pray as God leads you.

Text: Luke 6:27
“But I say to you who listen: Love your enemies, do what is good to those who hate you.” (Christian Standard Bible)

Prayer
Father, you call us to do difficult things. It is easy to love those who love us. It is harder to love those who are indifferent toward us. But to love our enemies, those who hate us? Yet, this you call us to. What is impossible with us is possible with you. You loved us when we took sides against you; loved us enough to offer Jesus for our sins and reconciliation. May we be people who love others, even our enemies, enough to show them Jesus. The one who can heal them spiritually and bring reconciliation with us. Amen.
