Praying through verses or passages of the Bible is a great way to help you pray according to the will and desires of God. Below is a passage of Scripture and a sample prayer. I would encourage you to pray that prayer, or, even better, read the passage and pray as God leads you.

Prayer
Father, you never told us that life will be easy. In fact, you said the opposite. Difficult times will come. Not only do we live in a world broken by our sin but we live among people, some of whom oppose you. Father, help us not to walk in their ways. Help us to be a light shining in the darkness. Help us to live by your word with our hope firmly set in Jesus that we might lovingly show the world a better way. Amen.
