Praying the Bible ~ Colossians 1:19-20

Praying through verses or passages of the Bible is a great way to help you pray according to the will and desires of God. Below is a passage of Scripture and a sample prayer. I would encourage you to pray that prayer, or, even better, read the passage and pray as God leads you.

Text: Colossians 1:19-20
For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile everything to himself, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. (Christian Standard Bible)

Prayer
Father, we praise you for what you did through Jesus, your Son. He who was fully God came to earth and also became fully man. You gave us Jesus as a gift to bring us back to you. You are the one who through his sacrifice restore our lives, grant us forgiveness, and bring us home to you. Father, as you have reconciled us to you through Jesus, may we be the ones who bear the message of peace to the world. So that the world might know you and your love through your Son. Amen.
