Praying the Bible ~ Ephesians 6:10-12

Praying through verses or passages of the Bible is a great way to help you pray according to the will and desires of God. Below is a passage of Scripture and a sample prayer. I would encourage you to pray that prayer, or, even better, read the passage and pray as God leads you.

Text: Ephesians 6:10-12
Finally, be strengthened by the Lord and by his vast strength. Put on the full armor of God so that you can stand against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rules, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this darkness, against evil, spiritual forces int he heavens. (Christian Standard Bible)

Prayer
Father, too often we don’t see or think about spiritual realities, the unseen forces at work in your creation. We ignore that many of our struggles and temptations stem from the spiritual battle. We ask that you give us insight into the war against cosmic powers and give us the wisdom to put on each day the armor that you provide. Strengthen us so that we might stand against the foe and resist temptation. Strengthen us so that we might trust in you alone for our joy, hope, and peace. Amen.
