Praying the Bible ~ Galatians 2:20

Praying through verses or passages of the Bible is a great way to help you pray according to the will and desires of God. Below is a passage of Scripture and a sample prayer. I would encourage you to pray that prayer, or, even better, read the passage and pray as God leads you.

Text: Galatians 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (Christian Standard Bible)

Prayer
Father, thank you for giving us Jesus who died in our place that we might have life. Dying to self isn’t easy. We so want to hold on to our selfish ambitions and desires. Yet, you placed our old life on the cross with Christ and gave us something wonderfully new. Thank you for Christ in us, the Holy Spirit dwelling in our hearts. Help us to live each day by his power and for your glory. Help us to live out your love by living in love of you. Amen.
