Praying through verses or passages of the Bible is a great way to help you pray according to the will and desires of God. Below is a passage of Scripture and a sample prayer. I would encourage you to pray that prayer, or, even better, read the passage and pray as God leads you.
Text: Mark 13:1-2
As he was going out of the temple, one of his disciples said to him, “Teacher, look! What massive stones! What impressive buildings!” Jesus said to him, “Do you see these great buildings? Not one stone will be left upon another–all will be thrown down.” (Christian Standard Bible)
Prayer
Father, give us sight and wisdom to see things as you see. Let us not be distracted by the glitz and glamor of the world. Let us not place our focus on what we have built with our hands. Let us remember that the things of this world will one day pass away. Yet, you, your glory, and what you build will stand forever. Help us see the priority in your glory and the things you have called us to. Amen.
