Praying through verses or passages of the Bible is a great way to help you pray according to the will and desires of God. Below is a passage of Scripture and a sample prayer. I would encourage you to pray that prayer, or, even better, read the passage and pray as God leads you.
Text: Matthew 21:15-16
When the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonders that Jesus did and the children shouting in the temple, “Hosanna to the son of David!” they were indignant and said to him, “Do you hear what these children are saying?” Jesus replied, “Yes, have you never read: You have prepared praise from the mouths of infants and nursing babies?” (Christian Standard Bible)
Prayer
Father, keep us from pride. Our hearts so often can think ourselves higher than others, better than others, especially those we see as smaller and inferior. Yet, yours is an upside-down kingdom. You chose opposite of what we expected. You have put praise in the mouths of infants for your glory. May we despise no praise offered to you. Instead, may we celebrate your grace with all who lift up your name through Jesus. Amen.
