This morning, we’ll continue our series on the Bible and mental health, Finding Light in the Darkness, by considering what Jesus says in Matthew 6 about anxiety, worry, and peace. Then tonight, we’ll be in part 3 of our Judges video study by JD Greear. We hope to see you there!

Sermon Notes
The Light of Peace ~ Matthew 6:25-34
The sermon in one sentence: Anxiety and fear can be driven by a number of things, but God’s will for us is a sense of peace, even in a troubled world.
- Two foundations for peace:
- Remember that life is more than our present circumstances and future fears (6:25)
- Remember that God delights in caring for his children (6:26-34)
- Four practical ways to find peace:
- Seek God above all else (6:33)
- Remember the hope of the gospel: God will rescue (Isaiah 35)
- Take your anxieties to God in prayer (Philippians 4:6-7, 1 Peter 5:6-7)
- Seek help from others (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12)
